Last night we were able to attend the French showcase at Mohawk for SXSW. Anoraak, Housse De Racket, College, Yelle, and Octopus Project put on an incredible show on the outside stage. Anoraak, seen above, was certainly a big unknown for many at the showcase, but definitely laid down a solid set that had us singing along. As for College we never thought we’d be able to catch a show inside the United Sates, and it certainly felt very surreal when it happened. Octopus Projecet, Austin locals, blew me away again with that damn theremin and crazy visuals. So damn mesmerizing.
The biggest surprise of the night goes out to Housse de Racket who fucking DESTROYED with their set. Everyone in the audience, including ourselves, were blown away by the performance. We liked Housse de Racket going into this show, but had no idea we were about to be served a seriously amazing drum and guitar experience. If you see this band coming your way, or will be hitting up Cochella this year, DO NOT MISS IT!
